The property owner's vision for Beach Bum is to create an environment that is casual, cozy & "family" friendly. Families come in all shapes, sizes & combinations....ALL are welcome.
So bring your family here to relax, restore & recharge yourselves by the ocean. We wanted to share a space that helps each unique family create memories for the future.
The short, 2 block walk to the ocean, brings you to a wonderful local cafe & bar right on the beach. So if you don't want to cook, put on your flip flops & have all 3 meals there with the locals.
If you want to prepare dinner without a hassle the crockpot in the kitchen can be filled and set to "do all the cooking" while you enjoy the sea breezes. The provided blender allows you to make a morning smoothie or an afternoon refreshing beverage.
Beach Bum also includes the use of a beach wagon & beach toys for all to enjoy. Inside the unit you will find a selection of DVDs catering to all ages, a chalk wall for creative expression, cards, toys & a relaxing place to just chill.
Mustang Isle does not have a swimming pool, however the Port Aransas Community Pool is less than 2 miles away from the Beach Bum on Clark Parkway. This pool is open year round, heated during the Winter months, offers a water park for kids, lap swimming and water aerobics for $2 per class. Daily entry fees are $2 for adults and $1 for kids and seniors.
Occupancy is 4 with 2 full size beds in the bed room & a twin size Serta Sofa bed (twin size sofa sleeper is NOT a hideabed) in the living room. Sorry, no furry four-legged family members.
A maximum of two standard size vehicles are allowed. Golf carts count as one of the two vehicles.
*Winter Texans Welcome! Please note that the property is only available for one month at a time and longer stays are not allowed. Pets are allowed only during this type of rental.
We are proud to offer contactless check-in and check-out. Sand Key Realty will call you on the day of your arrival, typically in the afternoon once your property is ready, to provide an access code to the property. Please keep in mind that we cannot provide the access code until the property is clean and ready.
WHAT IS PROVIDED:
• Kitchens are well equipped with basic cooking needs (dishes, silverware, pots, pans, coffee maker, microwave and large appliances). Note that food products such as spices or seasoning are not provided for safety reasons.
• All our properties are supplied with one set of sheets for all beds. Bath towels are supplied per number of people the house sleeps. We do not provide beach towels.
• A start up supply of toilet paper, (2 rolls per bathroom), 1 roll of paper towels, 2 kitchen trash bags, 1 kitchen sponge, bar hand soap for each sink, dishwasher tablets (if the property has a dishwasher) and 1 bottle of dish soap will be provided. After that, the guest is responsible for any additional needs.
SUGGESTED ITEMS TO BRING:
Beach towels, extra paper goods (toilet paper, facial tissue and paper towels), extra pillows if you wish to sleep with more than one, coffee and coffee filters, spices/seasoning, bathing soap and shampoo, extra dish soap, extra trash bags, sun tan lotion/sun block and beach gear.
SELF CATERING: All of our properties are self-catering. No maid or towel service is provided during your stay.
Holiday weekends during the summer (Memorial Day, July 4th, Labor Day) have a 3 night minimum.
