Space

Welcome to the Blue Pelican in the well-known Pirates Bay community in Port Aransas! This 3BR/3BA ground-level townhome sleeps 10 comfortably and is located steps from the pool and playscape. Whether you come into Port A by bridge or by ferry, this location is hard to beat. Pirates Bay is located right off Highway 361, so you are close to the beach yet tucked away perfectly to enjoy the community amenities in including 2 beautiful slope entry pools, a playscape, community BBQ area, and an experience that is unforgettable! You will be just 2-3 blocks from restaurants, convenience stores, shopping boutiques, beach rentals, bars and most everything Port A has to offer.

One bedroom has a king-sized bed and the other bedrooms have a queen sized bed. There is also an alcove to the side of the hallway with twin bunk beds and two twin rollaway beds for additional sleeping. All of the bedrooms, as well as the living area, have flat screen televisions.

There are two assigned parking spots for the Blue Pelican directly in front of the gate, which opens to your own private breezeway and covered patio equipped with a quaint dining space and outdoor shower to rinse the sand off before entering the townhome. Come through the front door and walk into the open concept living area with stained concrete floors, vaulted wood ceilings, and fun coastal decor. Relax in front of the 65″ TV on two large sofas with 4 power recliners after a day of beaching or fishing!

The kitchen, which features granite countertops and stainless appliances, is well stocked with pots, pans, serving, prepping, and eating supplies and utensils! We’ve tried to think of everything you’ll need to feed your family while at the Blue Pelican! The kitchen is open to the living and dining space, including a table, 4 chairs and a bench, and 4 barstools at the kitchen counter island.

Ready to call it a night? All bedrooms include a flat screen TV, ceiling fan, private closet, and all new bedding and pillows.

The king master suite is at one end of the townhome and includes a private bathroom with a large walk in shower and 2 granite sinks/vanities, a huge walk in closet, and a private patio door to the breezeway.

The queen bedroom suite is at the other end of the townhome and includes a private bath with an elegant pedestal sink and tub/shower combo.

The 3rd bedroom features a queen bed and can use the hall bath.

The 3rd bathroom off the hallway includes a tiled shower and granite sink/vanity.

There is also a charming sleeping alcove with twin bunks that include individual lights and USB charging stations. 2 twin memory foam rollaway beds are stored in the master closet.

The Blue Pelican has everything including a washer and dryer in the unit, free wireless high-speed internet, and Spectrum cable. In addition to the 2 assigned parking spaces, Pirates Bay has overflow parking in the complex on a first come, first served basis and can be limited during peak times. Boat parking is not allowed.

Since this home is located on the bay side of Highway 361, it is not possible to access the rest of the island with a golf cart. There are no legal golf cart crossings to get across Highway 361. For your own safety, we do not recommend attempting to rent a golf cart with this property.

Notes

CHECK-IN/CHECK-OUT TIMES: Check-in is at 4pm and check-out is at 10am. While we try to go above and beyond to accommodate our guests, we cannot guarantee early check-ins or late departures. This is to allow our cleaning crew ample time to make sure the property is thoroughly cleaned and sanitized before and after your stay.

ACCESS CODE We have an electronic lock on our property. You won’t need to go to an office and pick up keys. This code will be a part of the check-in instructions sent 30 minutes prior to your arrival. When you get in the area you can go straight to the property, unpack, relax and enjoy.

INCIDENTALS: The house comes stocked with dishes, glasses, utensils, cookware, linens, soap, shampoo, conditioner, body wash and bath towels. There is a coffee maker.

SELF CATERING: All of our properties are self-catering. No maid or towel service is provided during your stay.

SUGGESTED ITEMS TO BRING: Beach towels, extra paper goods (toilet paper, facial tissue and paper towels), extra pillows if you wish to sleep with more than one, coffee and coffee filters, spices/seasoning, bathing soap and shampoo, extra dish soap, extra trash bags, sun tan lotion/sun block and beach gear.

ABSOLUTELY NO SMOKING In the house, we provide a detailed guest book, including some of our favorite things to do around Port Aransas.

Interaction with guests

This property is managed by Sand Key Vacation Rentals. We are located at 221 W. Avenue A Suite 6 in Port Aransas. We are open 9 – 5 Monday – Sat and 10 – 3 on Sunday. Our hours in the Summer (Memorial Day to Labor Day) are 9-6 Monday-Saturday and 10-5 on Sunday. Please get in touch with our office if you need assistance.

House Rules

CHECK-IN PROCESS: Sand Key Vacation Rentals On the day of your arrival, Sand Key Vacation Rentals will issue an access code to the property via email or third-party website depending on how you booked.

Please keep in mind that we will not be able to provide you the access code until your property is clean and ready. Your access code will be provided on the day of arrival. We do not provide access codes several days in advance. Bookings are often scheduled back to back so it is important that we control when a guest can access a property and that the property is completely ready for a guest.

CHECK OUT time is 10:00 am. Please vacate the property promptly to allow us time to get the property ready for the next guest. Holdovers are not allowed without written permission.

STARTER SET including toilet paper (2 rolls per bathroom), 1 roll of paper towels, 2 kitchen trash bags, 1 kitchen sponge, bar hand soap for each sink, dishwasher tablets (if the property has a dishwasher), shampoo, conditioner and makeup wipes and 1 bottle of dish soap will be provided. Guests SHOULD bring extra amounts of these items as the starter set is for 1-2 nights. We do not provide food products such as spices/seasoning, coffee, or coffee filters.

AGE REQUIREMENTS: The primary renter must be at least 25 years old. The primary renter must be actually staying at the property. We do not allow parents to rent a property for their child, unless they will be accompanying them during the stay. Keys/key codes will only be given to the primary renter. A state issued driver’s license or other acceptable ID is required from guest at check-in and must match the name on the reservation. We reserve the right to refuse service.

Guests are responsible for damage to the property. Any damage/missing items will be charged to the guest based on cost of repair/replacement.

Pets are not allowed in this property. Violators will be asked to leave without a refund and charged a $500 clean up fee.

RESERVATION CHANGES: Changes to reservation dates are only allowed 30 or more days prior to the arrival date. No changes are allowed once the guest is within 30 days prior to arrival.

No loud music or parties outside between 10 PM-7AM per city ordinance. Please be respectful of your neighbors. Any violators will be asked to leave without a refund.

No parties are events are allowed.

No refunds for early check-outs or no shows. No refunds or date changes due to bad weather, COVID concerns or other uncontrollable environmental factors.

Please do not exceed maximum occupancy. Violators will be asked to leave without a refund.

Smoking and/or vaping is not allowed inside or outside this property. $500 charge if evidence of smoking exists.

PARKING: Guest agrees to use only the parking spaces reserved for the property and to not exceed the maximum allowable number of vehicles. No parking on empty lots or in neighboring spaces. Street parking is not allowed unless specifically mentioned otherwise in the property description. Violators will be asked to leave without a refund.

Host reserves the right to move guest to comparable alternate location due to property being sold or due to maintenance issue. If no suitable alternate location is available, guest agrees to a full refund as sole remedy. Host reserves the right to verify, correct, cancel advertised or quoted rental rates and availability misquoted due to human and/or computer error.

No refund or rate adjustment will be made for unforeseen issues/failures including, but not limited to, construction noise, the supply of electricity, water, pool filtration systems, air conditioning, telephone, television, cable, or internet services, and appliances.
